Gachagua was chosen as Deputy president William Ruto’s running mate and will automatically become the deputy president if Ruto wins the presidency. Speaking at the interview, Gachagua revealed that he was more than humbled to be appointed.
Gachagua also praised his opponent Martha Karua after she was also appointed as Raila’s running mate. Gachagua referred to Karua as her sister and he was proud of the steps she has taken in politics.
However, Gachagua revealed the difference between him and Karua is that while Karua and Azimio are interested in creating positions and re introducing the BBI, him and Ruto are busy empowering Kenyans.
Rigathi also reminded MT Kenya that Kenya Kwanza is currently holding bloc economic empowerments to ensure farmers and all business owners have a say in the next government.
Gachagua urged MT Kenya region and entire Kenya to rally behind Ruto’s presidency.
