A Nairobi court has given Nairobi Motorists a chance to smile as they've stopped the county from increasing parking fees. This means that Nairobi motorists don't have to part away with more money to park their cars in the City.
Motorists were set to part with more money from their pockets to park their cars. Given the harsh economic times that the country is facing, this move has been met with a lot of animosity from Kenyans living in Nairobi.
Private cars as well as Matatus would have suffered the brunt of the increment. This is after the government increased the prices of fuel which has made things a lot more harder for Kenyans.
The court has ordered that the Nairobi County government should cease from increasing the parking fees. The matter will be mentioned in court again on May 3rd 2021. Many see this as a welcome move from the court.
