The independent electoral and boundaries commission is made up of the chairman who is Wafula Chebukati and other six commissioners.
The commission broke into two parts in the August elections as vice chair Juliana Cherera, Irene Masit, Francis Wanderi, and Justus Nyangaya disowned the presidential results which were announced by Wafula Chebukati.
The four commissioners are now in trouble as the process of removing them from office has begun in the national assembly. This has seen Raila Odinga stand against the process in support of the four commissioners. While speaking today, Raila has revealed that he is set to hold a public meeting this Wednesday at Kamkunji grounds in Nairobi to ask Kenyans whether they want the commissioners to stay or leave, the meetings will also take place in Mombasa, Nakuru, Kakamega, and Kisumu.
Vice chairperson Juliana Cherera earns a monthly salary of Ksh.765,188, she is also entitled to a house allowance of Ksh.150,000, mortgage allowance of 30M, a car loan of Ksh.6M, airtime of Ksh.15,000 and a leave allowance of Ksh.50,000.
Irene Masit, Justus Nyangaya, and Francis Wanderi earn Ksh.621,250 and they also get allowances.
