Latest UDA's Actions In Raila's Strongholds Which May Be Allegedly Giving Him Headache

Even while Deputy President William Ruto continues his trips of the United States and the United Kingdom, his Kenya Kwanza Team is preparing for the August election.

On Wednesday, Ruto's team, led by Ford Kenya Party Leader Moses Wetangula, set up camp in South Nyanza's Nyamira and Kisii counties, selling their Bottom Up, Pesa Mfukoni slogans.

The group arrived at Kisii County's Nyaribari Chache district, where they will tour other sections of Nyamira County, including MP Silvanus Osoro's South Mugirango constituency.

Residents expressed confidence, urging DP William Ruto to include youths in his administration once elected. The venue was virtually full by the time this article was published.

This comes only days after the region's UDA treasurer, Omingo Magara, defected from Ruto's party to Raila Odinga's Azimio la Umoja.

Magara claims that the party lacks the transparency and democracy that he values, prompting him to seek union with camps that share his goals.

Magara had expressed interest in running for Kisii Governor on a UDA ticket.

Apart from Magara, Kisii county Deputy Governor Joash Maanga has also abandoned the UDA in favor of Raila's ODM Party.

He plans to run for Kisii county governor with the orange party.
