''No manual voting no general voting" is the new slogan that Azimio LA umoja one Kenya alliance presidential candidate Raila Odinga has declared. On Wednesday, July 6, Azimio la umoja one Kenya took their campaign rally in the Mt. Region in Githunguri, Kiambu county where he addressed his manifesto and urged Kiambu people to support and vote him as the 5th president of Kenya.
However, while addressing his rally, the Azimio la umoja one Kenya flag bearer, Raila Odinga has alleged that manual voters registration must be uphold in every polling station accompanied by electronic registration to enhance transparency during voting. Raila also alleged that with manual register it will be easy to tell how many people have voted in every polling station unlike In the electronic register where there is no record that remains.
The ODM party leader cited and criticize plans by IEBC’s chairperson Wafula Chebukati to go against the rules of this forthcoming election, hence insisting that both registers must be available. Raila has made it publicly that there will be no elections unless the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission uses both the manual and electronic voter register.
Raila further complained of an alleged plot by his opponents to steal two million votes in a well calculated plan roping in Inform Lycos -the company tasked with printing ballot papers according to reveal by Junet Mohammed. Junet Mohammed has claimed that Kenya Kwanza is colluding with IEBC to rig the presidential vote next month. According to Junet, Wafula Chebukati has been meeting with their rivals in Karen and are planning to sneak in marked ballot papers via Uganda.
