We don' t care about handshakes- Azimio Senator Ledama now says

Azimio allied Senator Ole Ledama has now allegedly changed tune on the handshake narrative. He did this on a Jeff Koinange citizen tv interview held on Wednesday night.

This is after the journalist asked his opinion regarding Ruto's take where has previously cancelled out a possible handshake. "We don't care about handshakes. Why should we have handshakes?" he replied.

According to him, the crucial thing is for the parliament to take his role as an oversight body especially on the executive and judiciary to do their work. This is despite the fact that the alliance he belongs to is believed to have been formed through a handshake between the Former President Kenyatta and Prime minister Odinga.

The Senator who was then asked whether he was ready to play opposition role displayed discomfort with the term opposition before he expressed his willingness to play a role in the oversight. Ledama then took a swipe at his opponents after reports on claims that the subsidized fertilizer was received at no cost.

He further questioned why the DPP is dismissing corruption related cases that the DCI has spent time heavily scrutinizing describing it 'a remote controlled criminal justice system.'
