Today was a very big day for the former Prime Minister Raila Odinga. During the Azimio la Umoja convention held at Kasarani stadium, the ODM leader officially declared his fifth stab in presidential race.

While recounting about his journey in politics, Raila mentioned how he suffered torture at Nyayo chambers - Nairobi. He said that the rough experiences he had at Nyayo house makes him walk with his handkerchief throughout because his eyes were greatly affected.

He also mentioned that he was sent to prison for eight years without trial. However, the ODM chief hailed his lovely wife Ida Odinga for being source of hope and inspiration during his difficult times.
Besides Mama Ida, Odinga mentioned that he drew hope and Inspiration from the holy bible. " During my hard times in prison, I found hope from Mama Ida and from reading the bible. " Raila said.
After he had said that, Raila thanked his wife for what he had gone through all those years and kissed her on her cheeks in a romantic manner. This left the crowd massively applauding.
