Orange Democratic Movement Party Leader Hon Raila Odinga has now overtaken his main rival Deputy President William Ruto after IEBC's provisional Presidential election results show the former Prime Minister leading with 49.35 percent and Ruto trailing with 49.24 percent in the total votes tallied as received from IEBC's Public portal.
According to the earlier report released by Citizen Tv as at 11:30 am which was three hours ago, Deputy President William Ruto was taking the lead with 51.31 percent while Raila trailed with 48.32 percent a clear indication that the two leading Presidential candidates are closing the gap.Meanwhile, the IEBC via Juliana Cherera has urged Kenyans to exercise caution even as the tabulation and tallying of final forms 34As as they continue to stream from various polling stations. Also, Chebukati has said that to avoid any doubt, the agency doesn't intend to announce any Presidential winner without properly counter-checking the form 34s, adding that there is an incidence where IEBC staff made erroneous errors.
