Ruto Beats Raila Odinga in the Latest Opinion Polls Conducted by KTN News

The latest opinion polls conducted by KTN News in Mombasa county indicates William Samoe Ruto of UDA party defeating his close competitor Mr Odinga of Azimio one Kenya coalition.

From the polls, the deputy president William Samoe Ruto lead by 19 votes against Mr. Odinga who was given only 17 votes. Also the Roots party presidential candidate professor Wachakoyah scored 8 votes.

When these votes are converted to percentage, deputy president will lead the race with 43 % followed by Mr. Odinga who scored 38.6 percent and lastly professor Wachakoyah with only 18 percent of the total votes casted.

While releasing the results, KTN News presenter confirmed that Mombasa county voting history has changed, as compared to when the region was said to be ODM zone. "Mombasa Imebadilika" he said.

According to recent opinion polls conducted by several media houses, the deputy president is likely to beats the former prime minister in the following counties: Meru, Tharaka Nithi, Embu, Kirinyaga, Nyeri, Murang’a, Kiambu, Nyandarua, Laikipia, and Isiolo.

Another area of interest is the vote-rich Mt Kenya region, President Uhuru Kenyatta’s base, that in the last two elections gave the Jubilee ticket an overwhelming vote of between 96 and 99 percent.

The survey also revealed that most of Kenya Kwanza supporters are young Kenyans aged between 18-35, while Odinga enjoys support from old Kenyans.
