Nairobi gubernatorial aspirant and the Azimio wing flag bearer, Polycap Igathe has a case to answer after a man filed a petition calling for him to step down from vying for the county's top seat.
According to NTVKenya, a man only identified George Bush filed a petition seeking the removal of Igathe's name from the forth coming August 9th polls.
In his petition, the said man said Igathe was not fit to vie for any political seat after he worrying deserted his duties and resigned as a Nairobi deputy governor.
Igathe was Mike Sonko’s deputy during his term, his resignation led to a domino of events after Sonko was dramatically impeached by MCAs.
This interesting development comes at the back drop of ongoing investigation into some rumors about his close rival from UDA (Sakaja) who is alleged to have given fake degree from a Ugandan university.
Sakaja has openly rubbished this claims saying it was all political games by his rivals who had developed cold feet after he joined the race.
