The President of the Law Society of Kenya Nelson Havi has made new appointments in the LSK. Announcing the changes through his Twitter Account, the LSK President mentioned individuals who would occupy various leadership positions. The tweet signed POLSK to denote that it was an official communocation.
"Law Society of Kenya has made the following appointments: 1. Secretary of Council and CEO: Josephat Mutunga Mutisya; 2. Director Compliance & Ethics/Deputy Secretary of Council & CEO: Juliette Akoth Jakaila; and 3. Director Practice & Standards: Veronicah Achieng Odipo." the tweet read.
These appointments come a week after the Labour Relations Court halted the recruitment of a new CEO after a case filed by incumbent CEO Mercy Wambua.
Wambua and Havi have had a long-running tussle that culminated earlier this month on July 13 with the arrest of the latter for assault charges. Orders were made for Havi not to interfere with Wambua's incumbency.
More to follow.
