Murang'a 2022 senatorial aspirant Pius Kinuthia has claimed that he was approached by 4 United Democratic Alliance (UDA) officials (at a restaurant) who promised to vote for him.

Kinuthia who is an Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) die-hard has further claimed that the UDA officials also said the they admire his courage and that they're just in the other camp because of money.
"Tuko huko juu ya pesa, ukona kura yetu.(we're because of money but you have our votes.)" Kinuthia has claimed what the alleged UDA officials told him via his twitter account. 
Kinuthia a close ally to Raila Odinga is a social activist whose intimate interaction with women and groups might be a hidden strength.
Kinuthia who is a pharmacist by profession is seen by many as the only voice of reason in a county where the Huster nation UDA dominate.
