Political leaders from Gusii land have been asked to choose one party and identify themselves with it as their main vehicle towardas 2022 National elections.Speakin at Sironga SDA Church,the former MCA for Bonyamatuta ward Mr. Beautah Omanga said it was high time for the community avoided being alaughingstovk.in future.pjoto:Church.
The MCA said that other communities are busy araigning themselves to potential parties for national bargaining power but wondered why the leaders from the region are hastant to show political wayforward for the populace.Saying that unity is strength Omanga called for political awakening in the region.He appealed to the community to consider listening to the CS Fred Matiang'i for political direction because he is the most senior government officer from the region.photo:Dr.Fred Matiang'i.
He asked the Abagusii Council of elders to stand firm and advise the political leaders from the region on the best political roadmap.He said that the region has ever produced wise and brave people who slw always deminstrated unity among their people.Omanga cited Visionaty leaders like the late George Anyona,Simeon Nyachae and Nyankieya Magara and asked the current political leaders to emulate them.photo:George Anyona.
Saying that Gusii is a fertile land,he appealed for selfless leaders who can harness the residents to focus on how they can tap the land's wealth for the posterity.
