Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader has excited Kenyans after disclosing that he didn't receive goats as gifts this time round but a pair of sneakers from two young gentlemen.
Through his twitter handle, the former prime minister has went on to congratulate them for choosing to gift him a pair of shoes as they paid him a visit.
"No its not a goat, but these young gentlemen thought it would be nice for me to have a fresh pair of sneakers! We chatted, Ali opened his fast and a generally good evening with good company.Hongera boys,"Raila congratulated them.
The boys even had to fit the shoes on Raila's feet as a sign of goodwill to the veteran politician who has been recovering from his home.
Raila has been gifted several goats by well wishers in the past few months when they visited him at his home in Karen residence. The gifts saw him get trolled by Kenyans who wondered why people decided to gift him with goats only and not any other item.
He has been out of public domain since he contracted Corona virus which affected him largely healthwise making him isolate to fully recover.
