Members of parliament receive Constituency Development Funds (CDFs) from the federal government to spend on their constituencies, also known as electoral districts.

On Tuesday, Deputy President William Ruto was blown away by Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria's boundless passion in the education sector in his area.

DP Ruto highlighted that the loud MP has improved educational levels in Gatundu South through the National Government Constituencies Development Fund while speaking at an event sponsored by Kuria (NG-CDF).

The second in command then pledged that if he is chosen to form the Kenya Kwanza government, he will direct more monies to the grassroots in order to forward more development goals.

"We congratulate Hon. Moses Kuria on his unwavering commitment to improving access to high-quality education in Gatundu South through the National Government Constituencies Development Fund (NG-CDF). Kenya Kwanza applauds this achievement and pledges to channel further monies to the grassroots in order to advance our country's development objectives "DP Ruto.

MP Kuria, who is pursuing the Kiambu gubernatorial seat, used the NG-CDF to provide multiple school buses to several schools.

Several additional leaders, including UDA governor aspirant Kimani Wamatangi (Senator Kiambu) and several MPs, attended the ceremony.
