The by elections slated for juja, Bonchari and Rurii ward have raised alot of concerns due to the manner in which they were conducted. There have been various accusations of illegalities including voter bribery and vote rigging.
In juja constituency,the process of vote tallying was momentarily suspended due to disruptions from various political classes. Kiambu governor Nyoro is the one who stormed the tallying centre and disrupted the whole process.
IEBC has issued statement to confirm the allegations directed to the Governor and has ordered DPP nordin hajj to carry out prosecutions Against the governor. The chairman has however confirmed that,"At around 10:20 pm,there was disruption of the tallying process at Mangu High school polling centre juja constituency by a group of individuals led by Kiambu governor james Nyoro. These acts of hooliganism made the tallying process difficult to proceed."
