Deputy President William Ruto has warned the handshake team against plotting against him in 2022, saying they will not succeed in their plans.
Speaking on Friday in Nandi Hills, Nandi county during development tours, Ruto said he is not moved by the coming together of various leaders against his candidature in 2022, saying he has the trust of many Kenyans.
The DP, while indirectly referring to President Uhuru's Thursday meeting with Raila and other party leaders at State House Nairobi, urged them to prepare well, saying he will be waiting for them in the ballot.
"Wanaume wananipangia kule Nairobi lakini mimi nimejipanga na hustlers. Future government will be formed by the hustlers and those who understands their problems, not those who don't understand them," stated Ruto.
Ruto exhibited confidence that he will form the next government, saying he had helped both Uhuru and Raila in the future and it is now his turn to team up with fellow hustlers.
On BBI, Ruto distanced himself from the bill, saying he is busy currently laying down procedures that will ensure hundreds of unemployed youths get opportunities once he takes over in 2022.
He however, advised Kenyans to make informed decisions should the country go for a referendum, adding that he is fit to either work with the current or new changed constitution.
