"We Won't Attend The Meetings" Ruto Allies Dismiss Mt Kenya Unity Talks, Call For One Regional Party

Political leaders from Mount Kenya Region and allied to Deputy President William Ruto have once again dismissed meetings conducted by President Uhuru Kenyatta's allies on he region's unity.

According to the DP's allies, the meetings are intended to instruct them on who to support, arguing that they do not need such meetings they had their presidential candidate already.

Kirinyaga Woman Representative Wangui Ngirici on Friday announced she will not attend the meetings, adding that the leaders are already divided since they have numerous political parties.

She went on to drum up her support for the United Democratic Alliance party (UDA) stating that it is the only political outfit that has the interests of the residents at heart.

The aspiring Kirinyaga Governor further argued that the Tanga Tanga faction will only work with the leaders led by Narc Kenya's Martha Karua, Moses Kuria of Chama Cha Kazi and Mwangi Kiunjuri of the Service Party if they agree to fold their parties and join the all inclusive UDA party.

Her sentiments comes almost a week after Mathira MP Rigathi Gachagua revealed that the team had received invitations of a meeting that was to take place on Monday, before it was postponed.
