"Ruto Need Only Mount Kenya and Rift Valley Votes To Be President" - Isaac Mwaura

The embattled Jubilee party nominated senator Isaac Mwaura now claims Deputy President William Ruto will only need votes from mount Kenya Region and the Rift Valley region to emerge victorious in next years general election.

Senator Mwaura who has since switched to UDA after abandoning Jubilee party said so when he was speaking on a political talk show at Radio Jambo. The show takes place every Saturday from 10 to 11 am.

Pressed to explain what he was saying, Mwaura referred the show's host Bramuel Mololo to statistics. The statics are that the Mount Kenya region makes 32% of the total votes that is 24% from Central Kenya and 8% from Meru and Embu.Rift Valley makes 21% of the votes.

When these votes are brought together they make a total of 53% per cent which is more than enough to make one president. One of the show panelists Brian Weke disagreed with Mwaura reminding him that he cannot assume that every voter in Mt Kenya and Rift Valley will vote for him. Weke claimed that recently, Raila Odinga's popularity has been rising in Mt Kenya and even said Raila might defeat Ruto in the region.

Do you think Mr Mwaura is right? Please leave a comment, follow and share. Thank you for reading.
