Raila Loses In Uhuru's Polling Station

The voting site where President Uhuru Kenyatta casts his vote in Gatundu is Mutomo Primary School. That's where Raila Odinga, the Azimio presidential contender, lost.

The IEBC's Form 34As indicate that all four of the school's streams' results have been submitted. Raila received 464 votes, compared to DP William Ruto's 983 votes, in the forms.

George Wajackoyah of the Roots party received 9 votes, while Waihiga Mwaure of the Agano party received 4 votes. The Mutomo polling station in Gatundu South had a poor voter turnout. Uhuru and Mama Ngina Kenyatta voted here when they were in office.

Peter Kibathi, the candidate for the Gatundu South MP seat, blamed unfavorable weather for the low turnout. He remarked that it's time for Kenyans to vote for leaders who can improve their lives.

It is true that the turnout was lower than in prior elections, but he nonetheless praised the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission for its work.
