While speaking at Ushirika celebrations, the head of state tore the Deputy President William Ruto over his 2022 Promises. Uhuru cited that some people are yapping all through promising what they will do when they take over the government. He said that why didn't they do it when they were in government.
Kenyatta continued with his indirect attacks against Ruto after he hailed the Cabinet Secretary for Agriculture, Peter Munya for doing an exemplary job in the Ministry for only three years. He said that others ( Ruto) had been in the same ministry for eight years but they did nothing.
" Mimi nasikitika kuona watu wengine wakilia ng’we ng’we Uko,mtu amepewa Kazi na badala ya kufanya Kazi ni mdomo ati tutafanya Kazi, kwanini haukufanya wakati ulikuwa? Watu waache upuzi bana" President Kenyatta Cited.
Kenyans have responded to remarks from President Kenyatta, some defending the Second in Command citing that, the Deputy President has no power to execute most of the duties.
