It was yet another busy weekend for politicians strategizing on how to win elections next year, with Churches providing podiums for the political class to seek for votes.

Recently, top brass at the ACK and Catholic Churches banned politicians from addressing Kenyans in Church, leaving politicians with a point to scratch their heads.

Over the weekend, a section of politicians made a stop at Churches not regarded as mainstream so as to seek for support ahead of the 2022 polls.

Deputy President William Ruto was in Kakamega County on Saturday for a service at African Church of the Holy Spirit Dumbeni, in Malava.

Ruto was dressed in the Church's religious attire comprising of a white hat and robes, with a cross in his left hand.

It seems that Bungoma County governor Wycliffe Wangamati took a few lessons from the DP.

On Sunday, the governor worshipped at Salvation army Church, Bungoma Citadel, Bungoma town.

He showed up in Salvation Army's white uniform, making him resemble leaders of the Church who are always in uniform during church services.
