The conflict between President William Ruto and former President Uhuru Kenyatta started in 2018 following their handshake with Raila Odinga of the ODM. The growing divide between president William Samoei Arap Ruto and outgoing president Uhuru Kenyatta is no longer a secret. After president Ruto and his Kenya Kwanza Alliance administration accused the outgoing president Uhuru Kenyatta of financing the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Movement rallies across the country, the two are at it again as they exchange jabs.
Samson Cherargei, a senator for Nandi County, has sided with the two leaders' disagreements, escalating the situation. According to The Star Kenya news report, the vocal politician from president William Samoei Arap Ruto's neighborhood has angrily reportedly urging the president to rescind Uhuru Kenyatta's peace envoy status and deprive him of all retirement perks. The former Head of State and his family have also been charged by President Ruto's administration for not paying their taxes.
During a public rally with the Azimio- One Kenya leader Raila Odinga, the former president stated that his support to Raila is not ending any time soon and that he will continue supporting him even if he is out of politics since Raila has good will and fights for the people of Kenya.
