Mohammed Ali has responded to his political nemesis from Mombasa after he warned people about electing William Ruto. Ali and Governor Joho do not enjoy a cordial political relationship. Ali though elected as independent has joined UDA Party while Hassan Joho is deputy party leader of ODM.
Governor Hassan Joho had said that DP Ruto poses a threat to devolution. He had said that Ruto is not keen in empowering counties should he be elected as president. He warned people to make wise choice in 2022 and pointed out Ruto rejected BBI which could have increased funding to counties.
Mohammed Ali replied in sarcastic manner by saying it is very true that Ruto will kill devolution. He divulged that should Ruto win, he might be appointed as the Cabinet Secretary for Internal Security. Should he get the job, his first mission would be to deal with all pharmaceuticals. He put the pharmaceuticals in quotes to mean bad substance as evidenced in his next sentence. He said that he would not allow young lives to be destructed by those pharmaceuticals.
