Deputy President Dr. William Samoei Ruto on Thursday hosted a high-profile foreign leader at his Karen residence in Nairobi. DP Ruto was privileged to meet with Dr. Mohammad Hery Saripudin who is the Indonesia special envoy to Kenya.
He was accompanied by three other officials who paid a courtesy visit to Deputy President on Thursday morning. The visitors discussed matters of national importance which includes strengthening the bilateral relations between Kenya and Indonesia.
Dp Ruto expressed his desire to continue working with Indonesia to broaden the ties between the two countries in the field of trade and strengthen technical training to prioritize medium and small-sized enterprises.
"We are keen on broadening our trade and furthering of technical training as we move to reconfigure our economy to prioritize medium and small-sized enterprises," Ruto said.
The United Democratic Alliance party leader also received a special gift from Dr. Mohammad. According to the photos, the visitor was seen removing an elephant sculpture from a red bag and gifted it to DP Ruto who received it cheerfully.
After the meeting, DP Ruto jetted to Kiambu county where he continued popularizing his presidential bid and his bottom-up economic model.
