The Former Subukia Member of Parliament (Mp) Koigi Wa Wamwere has warned the Kenyan government of encouraging hate speech through the inflammatory statements made by several senior state officials.

Mr Koigi Wamwere has recently described the Interior Principal Secretary (PS) Mr. Karanja Kibicho's statement that 'no politician would be put on bars for the crime they have committed, as "very dangerous" sediment ahead of the on coming August 9, 2022 General Elections.

In accordance to Mr. Wamwere, the statement from the principal secretary (PS) Kibicho shows that the Kenyan government appears to be sympathising with the hate mongers. According to the former Subukia Parliamentarian, punishing the law offenders and breakers after elections is akin to the closure of the door after the horse has been totally bolted. Instead, the law breakers and offenders should be delt with, immediately after crime as the Kenyan law demands.
