Lee Kinyanjui, Nderitu Mureithi, Francis Kimemia To Ditch Jubilee Party As Ruto Storms Nyeri

Three vocal Mount Kenya governors who are also President Uhuru Kenyatta's and Orange Democratic Movement, ODM party Mt. Kenya supporters are likely to decamp from the ruling Jubilee party.

According to Citizen TV Kenya Twitter account, Nakuru governor Lee Kinyanjui, his counter part from Kiambu James Karanja Nyoro and Laikipia County Governor Ndiritu Muriithi and Francis Kimemia of Laikipia have signalled Jubilee party exit as they are set to announce Union of Party of National Unity, PNU and Ubuntu Peoples Forum (UPF), a party associated with Nakuru Governor Lee Kinyanjui.

Though PNU has shown interest of teaming up and supporting Orange Democratic Movement, ODM party leader Raila Odinga and Lee Kinyanjui has made it clear that he supports former Prime Minister's 2022 bid, this may be another huge boost for Azimio La Umoja.

This comes as Deputy President William Ruto has today landed in Nyeri for a two day tour accompanied by several United Democratic Alliance, UDA leaders Including Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru, MPs Rigathi Gachagua (Mathira), Ndindi Nyoro (Kiharu), Alice Wahome (Kandara), Kimani Ichungwa (Kikuyu), Rahab Mukami (Nyeri), Irungu Kangata (Muranga), George Kariuki (Ndia), Rindikiri Mugambi (Buuri) and Aisha Jumwa (Malindi)
