This is a blow to both ANC party leader Musalia Mudavadi and his counterpart from Ford Kenya Moses Wetangula who announced on Sunday at the Bomas of Kenya that they will be working with Ruto's UDA party.
Although Mudavadi speaking with KTN News on Monday has maintained that he will be on the presidential race, his new friendship with Ruto leaves more questions unanswered.
According to Cherargei, before a presidential candidate settles on a deputy president, he must look at the number of votes such a leader commands from his region.
"The running mate for William Ruto will come from Mt Kenya Region because of the numbers. I have also seen my friends in the One Kenya Alliance (OKA) being thrown under the bus as Raila Odinga himself is also looking up at the mountain for his deputy," said Cherargei.
Earlier in the day, Jubilee nominated Senator Issac Mwaura also stated the same, remarks that has put political pundits on toes of trying to elaborate ANC and UDA's union.
