Oparanya Plans To Rig In Matungu By-Elections, Says Mudavadi

The Amani National Congress leader Musalia Mudavadi today has lodged a complain to the Independent Electoral and Boundary Commission a head of Matungu By-Elections tomorrow.

Musalia says the kakamega governor Wycliffe Oparanya plans to interfere with the intergrity if the results.

Musalia said Oparanya made sure some of the county staff were employed as IEBC.He claims the officials are likely to interfere with the authenticity of the results.

The election tommorow will see a fireced contest between the ODM candidate, Were who was once the area member of parliament for fifteen years. The ANC candidate Peter Nabulindo, UDA candidate Alex Lanya and Independent candidate Bernard Wakoli.

The seat was declared vacant after the death of area member of parliament Justus Murunga who succumbed to the covid 19 infections.

Upto now, it is not clear who will win elections tomorrow.Both candidates have toured the area advocating their manifesto.

The election in Matungu has been described by many as an acid test. It aims to determine who has more influence in Western politics between Raila Odinga, Musalia Mudavadi and William Ruto.
