Drama in Uganda as Bobi Wine supporters swim across a swamp to attend his rally

General elections are set to be held in February , 2021 in Uganda , political leaders are travessing every corner of the country to win the hearts of voters, Robert Kyagulanyi popularly know as Bobi Wine has dominated political scene since 2017 when he got to parliament and in 2019 he declared his interest for presidency and formed his party NUP National Unity Party.

On Monday 16, November Bobi Wine was set address a crowd in Mayuge district but the police blocked the main road to deny access Bobi Wine supporters a chance to attend the rally, Bobi Wine supporters quickly found a alternative route, swimming through a swamp to get to the venue. Bobi Wine shared the news through his twitter handle.

Opposition candidates seeking to deny president Yowerri Museveni the sixth term are complaining of police harassment as they are denied chances to hold political rallies in some regions. Shortly after being cleared to vie for presidency, Bobi Wine was forcefully ejected from his car and taken to his home as police say he plans to organize rallies which may disrupt public order.
