Police spokesperson Bruno Shioso sad that Deputy President William Ruto, ODM leader Raila Odinga, Musalia Mudavadi and other Politicians can be arrested for holding political rallies. Shioso was responding to a question asked by Trevor Ombija. “Why have police been unable to arrest Politicians who keep gathering people yet Political gatherings are outlawed?" Ombija asked Bruno Shioso.
“What they are doing is illegal, they keep on doing that despite numerous statements Ministry of Health, Inspector General of Police have issued concerning the Covid-19 pandemic." He said however he said the acknowledged that there is a challenge. “You can arrest them, but where do you take them in the first place, so that is the reality." He observed.
The police spokesperson revealed that if they get small people or gatherings then they will arrest adding that the police will be weighing risks involved before they will come in. However he urged the public to snub political gatherings saying that this will force the Politicians out of Political rallies.
