Former Kakamega senator Cleophas Malala has celebrated President William Ruto terming the head of state as his hero.
According to Radio Jambo, Malala said that, "We have heroes of the past and heroes of today, I celebrate Ruto, he is a hero because he has freed Kenyans from the chains that have bound Kenyans for a long time".

Malala added that Ruto has freed the country from the state capture and dynasties in the political arena.
"We have been poisoned by old ideas and dynastic ideas but we have been freed by our president," Former Kakamega senator added.

He expressed his thoughts about the new appointment of the head of DCI Mohamed Amin and the disbanded unit and said that this is a good step to have a change in the sector.
