The Deputy President will vie for the top seat in the 2022 general election. He has been very ambitious about his dream to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta.
This week, the deputy president, visited several counties in Kenya including the Machakos, Makueni, Kitui, and Kajiado county to empower different groups and ask Kenyans to support him in the journey to become the statehouse boss.
On 25th September 2021, Ruto visited Awendo in Migori county to support small-scale businesses. While addressing the crowd, Ruto donates 1.5 million shillings to Boda Boda SACCOs, a move that left the residents changing his name. He also released sh.500, 000 which was to be distributed to Mama Mbogas in the area.
According to news from KTN, The Dp also spotted a hawker who was selling one umbrella. He took the umbrella and asked his bodyguard to give him 20 thousand shillings, which he handed over to the woman.
Among other promises Ruto promised to continue with such kinds of empowerment if he is elected to be president of Kenya, next year.
