Huge Relief to Agriculture CS Nominee Mithika Linturi As Rape Case Against Him Is Withdrawn

Early last week President William Ruto named his cabinet. President William Ruto nominated 22 people to his cabinet. President nominated his political allies and people who were behind kenya Kwanza manifesto.

However, the nomination sparked mixed reaction among kenyans. Some kenyans praised the move while others condemned president William Ruto for nominating individuals who have active cases in the court.

Azimio legislators have already vowed to reject some nominees who have integrity issues and those who have active cases in the court.

Among those who were nominated is former Meru county senator Mithika Linturi. Linturi was nominated as cabinet secretary of Agriculture. However, Mithika Linturi has an active case in the court. Linturi was accused of raping a woman.

It is now a huge relief to Mithika Linturi as woman who had accused him of rape has withdrew the case. This means that Agriculture CS nominee has no case to answer and that will boost his chances to become cabinet secretary to succeed outgoing cabinet secretary Peter Munya.
