What DP Ruto Said About Jobs and Handouts That Has Got Kenyans Ganging Up Against Him

A section of Kenyans have hit out at Deputy President William Ruto following his remarks during his campaign rally in Lamu County.

Ruto had promised to stand with hustlers as he said he will ensure Kenyans get jobs adding that his government will set aside money to help hustlers boost their businesses.

In what appeared to be a direct attack on ODM leader Raila Odinga over his promise of Sh6,000 stipend if elected president, Ruto said Kenyans are in need of jobs and not handouts.

“The way I stood with Uhuru Kenyatta until he became President is the way I will stand with the youths until they get jobs,” said Ruto.

Kenyans however in reaction asked Ruto what he has done to help the youths get jobs ever since the Jubilee administration won the elections.

Another section said DP Ruto has been dishing out wheelbarrows and money to hustlers as many said those are handouts and he should be quick to judge.

“Tena unajipiga my friend, si ni wewe hupea vijana handouts,” said Gaius.

“Karen has been the center of handout receipt since 2017. Bwana Ruto stop jokes,” said Robert Ochari.

“Handout is what you have been doing unless you want to change since President Uhuru mentioned it yesterday in Kirinyaga,” said Maurice Alal.

“How can you support the economic growth by giving out wheelbarrows? Our teachers used to say, soma usiendeshe wheelbarrow now look at this mheshimiwa,” said Aisha Said.

“How many jobs have you created since u started this campaign 10 yrs on?....Don’t you mind that those multitudes are out to waste time coz they don’t have jobs?” said Mwaullah Mwaullah.

“Good to agree that the campaign handouts you're giving cannot drive the growth of our economy,” said Isaac Manduku.

“Why are you talking about yourself? You are the king of handouts,” said Doreen Beatrice.
