There is a popular English proverb that says no matter how a good a dancer you are,you must exit the stage at some point. It simply means when doing something no matter how good you are at it,you have to let go one day. This can be applied to Kenyan veteran politician Raila Odinga.Raila has been in politics for over two decades now.He now holds the record for the most times a person has vied for a presidential seat and lost at five.He first vied for the top seat in 1997 at 52 years old and the latest this year at 77 years old.Raila has been in politics for so long that the likes of current president William Ruto were once his political students and servants. His long tenure in politics has seen him become the undisputed king of Kenyan politics. However currently at 77,age,time and good health are no longer on his side.He is no longer energetic and vibrant and thus can not compete with the current leaders. It's time he passes the mantle to someone else who can effectively carry on from where he is now.
