The United Democratic Alliance, UDA has camped at Nakuru days after the former Prime Minister Raila Odinga held a rally in the town. Led by Deputy President William Ruto, the politicians aligned to UDA criticized the handshake for leading Kenya to its economical downfall and pledged to support hustlers come 2022.
The host of the Nakuru event was Senator Susan Kihika and MPs from the region. They all drummed up support for DP Ruto insisting that he was the best bet to secure the future of the downtrodden in the country. In the process, the leaders invoked God saying that Ruto has the blessings of God to ascend to power come 2022.
In particular, Njoro MP Charity Kathambi warned Nakuru residents that should they vote for anyone apart from Ruto, they will have Jesus to deal with. She added that Ruto has the hand of God and he is the one God wants Kenyans to elect as president in 2022.
"Are there people trying to sell us Raila here? Put your hands up so that God can see that you will vote for Ruto. And if you vote for anyone else, you will have Jesus to deal with. DP we love you and God will bless you," she said as she narrated the story of Mordecai in the book of Esther comparing Ruto to Mordecai who was blessed by God for honouring the king.
