Today, His Excellency the right Honourable Raila Amollo Odinga received an entourage of more than two hundred people who defected from various parties to rejoin ODM party.
In a colourful event organised at the orange house. The defectors who majorly came from Gusii Region, vowed to support Raila's bid to be the Fifth president of the republic of Kenya
Among the defectors and high profile seasoned politicians who defected was the Fire kenya deputy Party leader Hon Richard Onyonka, MP Kitutu Chache South constituency. Onyonka was formerly in ODM till 2017 when he ditched the party to ford kenya and managed to capture his seat for the third time as an MP. He has declared his bid to run for Kisii County Senatorial seat come 2022.

The entourage was welcomed by Dagorreti MP Hon Simba Arati who is intending to run as Governor in Kisii, Wetland MP Hon Tim wanyonyi who is also running for gubernatorial in Nairobi and Suna East MP Junnet Mohammed. Secretary General Edwin Sifuna was also present.
