Mutahi Ngunyi Terms UDA Members As 'Conmen' As The BBI Debate Is Postponed After Linturi's Arrest

Mutahi Ngunyi defended Mutahi Kagwe, the cabinet secretary for health, against allegations that the ministry was issuing counterfeit ARVs. He said that Kagwe could not be compared to those who provided poisonous relief food to the Kikuyus last year, suggesting that some UDA members were conmen.

" LEAVE Mutahi Kagwe ALONE. He is the MOST COMPETENT health minister we have had after Kibaki. Besides, he is NOT a catholic MONK. And he is NOT like the UDA conmen who gave Kikuyus POISONOUS relief food last year," Read Mutahi's Tweet.

Senators refused to continue with any motion unless Meru Senator Prof Mithika Linturi was released, forcing Senate Speaker Kenneth Lusaka to postpone the afternoon session of the Senate. Senator Mithika Linturi was detained on his road to Parliament, according to Kericho County Senator Aaron Cheruiyot.

The Senate convened in chambers to discuss the Building Bridges Initiative or BBI, and then make a vote, but they will have to wait a little longer.

As I see it, this may come as a shocker to the BBI supporters and it may start blame games among themselves. What do you think of the current political unfoldings?
