"Tumewasikia Asante" KBC TV Reacts After Being Picked to air Ruto's Inauguration Ceremony

Kenya's and local media house were caught in surprise after it emerged only KBC Channel 1 and a pop-up channel by DSTV was going to air President-elect William Ruto i inauguration ceremony.

A decision that was communicated by Ruto's communication team left KBC celebrating to an extent that they tweeted thanking Kenyans for trusting in them to offer the live coverage.

"Tumewasikia. Ahsante" We have heard you. Thank you" KBC tweeted.

Earlier before, the oldest channel in the country posted an African proverb that left Kenyans talking and insinuating of they were enjoying and celebrating on blockage given to other local media who will have to depend on it to get the live coverage.

"He who digs a grave for his enemy might as well be digging for himself." They posted.

President-elect will be inaugurated on Tuesday at Kasarani Stadium a ceremony that will be attended by at least 20 heads of State from Africa who have already confirmed their attendance.

United State of America President Joe-Biden has also unveiled a delegation of four, who are scheduled to attend president-elect William Ruto’s swearing-in ceremony.

The US ambassador to Kenya Meg Whitman, US Representative (D), Texas Colin Allred, Assistant Secretary of State for the Bureau of African Affairs, U.S. Department of State Mary Catherine Phee and Assistant Administrator for the Bureau for Africa, U.S. Agency for International Development Dr Monde Muyangwa will form the delegation.
