Yesterday news broke of a woman who had given birth to five children at the Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital. Although the children are a blessing, the mother and the father are deeply worried about how they would manage to raise the five children considering that they are casual labourers.
However, the governor of Kisii county Hon. James Ongwae promised to offer some help to the parents. Today the governor's wife mama Elizabeth Ongwae had a chance to visit the mother and her quintuplets at the newborn unit. During the visit the mama Elizabeth Ongwae handed over items such as diapers that will be used by the children.
On his twitter page the governor announced that he shall meet the medical expenses the parents incurred at the facility. He wrote on his twitter page, "Second day and the blessings of the bountiful quintuplets continue to elicit happiness for many at our KTRH and beyond. Mama Elizabeth Ongwae had a chance to visit the the mother and the and the little ones at the newborn unit. We shall meet all their medical expenses at the facility, assist them register for NHIF and pay the contribution fee. Indeed, a happy sabbath!"
