The former prime minister Raila Odinga has made five attempts at the presidency without success.
Where's it's not clear whether the 77 years old will be on the ballot in 2027, the race to succeed him has gathered momentum with wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka leading the pack.
In a meeting yesterday in machakos county, Kalonzo Expressed his interest in running for the top seat in 2027 saying he now has the backing of the luo nation.
Other possible candidates who are likely to inherit the mantle from the azimio la umoja one Kenya alliance Party leader Kalonzo include; Martha Karua who was the running mate in the just concluded presidential election.
Opinion poll conducted shows who is best suited to take over from Raila. According to the polls, Kenyans online prefer Kalonzo inheriting the opposition chief with 65 percent.
Surprisingly, junet Mohamed comes second with 20 percent while Karua only got 7 percent after Gideon Moi.
