The Service Party (TSP) which is under the leadership of former Agriculture Ministry Cabinet Secretary Mwangi Kiunjuri is one of the political folds that joined the Kenya Kwanza Alliance some months ago. Kiunjuri together with other party leaders signed a coalition agreement in an event that took place at the Ngong' Racecourse, Nairobi.
Campaigns for the August general elections are supposed to begin on the 29th of this month but already presidential candidates kicked off the crucial excercise. William Kabogo, Moses Kuria, Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula are some of the notable political figures that have been accompanying Ruto in his campaigns.
Kiunjuri has been a no-show at Ruto's campaigns. This has left a section of Kenyans guessing that maybe he is planning to dump DP William Ruto and Kenya Kwanza Alliance at large. Today, he has presided over a TSP aspirants meeting.
Kiunjuri who is eying the Laikipia East Member of Parliament seat has cleared the air. He has maintained that his Party is fully behind Kenya Kwanza and it is rallying support behind DP Ruto's presidential bid.
