Barrack Muluka, The Focus Should Be On General Elections And Not Side Issue Like BBI referendum

On the punchline on K24 television, while in the topic of IEBC and the manner in how it conducts itself given that few more commissioners are yet to be added, Barrack Muluka a political advisor and commentator gave his view while being hosted on the show by Inea Debarl.

That there is no time to carry all these things that the two individuals sat down and want for themselves. IEBC should be engaging right now on serious issues like procurement of electoral materials now that we are approaching general elections.

Our Nation at the moment has got many pending issues and all these processes are quite tedious and lengthy, if we consider this referendum and yet the most important work for IEBC is waiting for them, which they won't be prepared since they will be focused on referendum and recruitment of new commissioners who do not have the experience of the nature of this job then they shall miss the important point, the general elections.

The team should be focusing on priority issues like the general elections, the boundaries delineation and so on. He said the issue of BBI can come later when next government is in position and wants to consider that bill.

That a well experienced IEBC is one that has stayed in office for quite a long time and has been working on various matters affecting the nation. He said Changi commissioners from time to time affects the proper way of conducting their work since the new commissioners won't have the necessary experience to perform the required work.

He said that the three commissioners that are present at work should not be replaced since they have understood and are skilfully at deploying any kind of work.
