Kenyans have this Evening came out in large numbers to express their opinion about the latest statement made by Nyeri Member of Parliament Hon Ngunjiri Wambugu. His sentiment are directly attributed to the incident witnessed in Laikipia today where the Deputy President was publicly heckled by some rowdy youths.
In his statement, the vocal Kieleweke legislator surprise many when he stated that the recent visit by the DP to Nyeri and Laikipia have no any political effect and that the region is fully behind the handshake championed by President Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga. This is despite the large crowd that was seen accompanying the DP during his two tour of the above regions.
The Netizens on their part sharply differed with legislator with majority telling him off to leave UDA affairs. Others opined that of late he is becoming clueless due to reckless statements.
The central region has been the battle field with both the Presidential aspirants trying hard to win the support of the electorates from the region. It is currently believed that the Mt Kenya region will throw their support behind Raila Odinga as a reward for the handshake he had with President Kenyatta in 2018 that brought peace and unity in the country.
