Kakamega County Governor Hon Wycliffe Oparanya, has said that Western Kenya region does not want to pretend that they can win presidency through Amani National Congress (ANC) party leader Musalia Mudavadi next year, when it is already practical that he has no chance of winning next year as thinks.
Speaking on an interview with K24 television, Oparanya said that that's why they have decided to come together as leaders from Western Region, to speak with one voice as they negotiate with the candidate who is in the best position of winning presidency next year.
The Governor who is a close ally to the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Raila Odinga, added that they are seeking to be in the next government as the region and therefore there is no need to pretend that they can win presidency through ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi, since he has no Nationwide support as compared to other top presidential aspirants.
