Nairobi County Woman Representative race has gained momentum after an 80-year-old granny officially declared her candidature in the forthcoming General Elections slated on August 2022.
Cecilia Mwangi who owns Shosh Sounds Systems, a company which installs and repair vehicle's sound system, will be racing for the position via DP Ruto's United Democratic Alliance (UDA) Party and she was officially welcomed by the party's Secretary General at the Headquarters in Nairobi.
She is said to command a huge following and the race is therefore expected to take a new twist. Cecilia will be facing off with the incumbent Woman Rep Esther Passaris as well as other leaders who have shown interest on the position.
Deputy President William Ruto who is the party leader has been affirming that UDA is a National Party for all irregardless of one's social status, tribe, age or societal influence. He has maintained that the bus is big enough to accommodate all who seek to join him on his State House journey.
