Nyeri county has today hosted a series of Azimio la Umoja events. Nyeri Governor has made his come back into the camp after months of Silence.
Nyeri governor Kahiga while addressing the resident's, has warned the former prime minister Raila Odinga from concentrating on historical events. “ I would like to tell you the following, please don't be fooled by historic events particularly 2002 ‘Kibaki tosha’. It is not time to talk about history, it's time to talk about the present and the future. The people of Nyeri and Mt Kenya at large want to hear what stake do they have in your government, if elected as president.” Nyeri governor said.
The meeting involved six hundred elders, drawn from two formations. Kikuyu council of elders and Kiama Kiama and six hundred other elders from Luo council of elders.
On Saturday, Raila will be joined by some Central Kenya governors and legislators who support his 2022 bid in meet the people tour in Nyeri, Mukurweini and Othaya
