Many media personalities have shown political Interest in various positions in the coming August 2022 general elections. Figures such as Jalango, Mwakideo, Tony Kwalanda, and Njogu Wanjoroge na Nyawira are a few of the many who are interested join politics.
Royal Media Services, has issued a memo informing their employees who are interested in joining politics to resign before March 2022 in line with company policies. The Managing Director's leaked memo dated 20th January advised employees to resign from their position before time.

"In line with company's culture and practice, any employee wishing to contest in any elective position must tender his/her resignation from employment before March 2022," Read Wachira Waruru's memo.
Employees holding public offices other than elective positions have been asked to tender their resignations or leave office by 9th March this year. Although others are suggesting that anyone in the public office should resign only if he/she wins the position vied for.
