Photos: Wajackoya Carries On With Campaigns in Nyeri Amid Citizenship Queries

Just a day after Raila visited Nyeri, controversial Roots party presidential candidate George Wajackoya has also ventured in the county for a charm offensive ahead of the fast approaching August polls.

The Roots party presidential candidate alongside his deputy Justina Wamae have today held a lengthy campaign stopover in Karatina Town, and is anticipated to proceed to Mukurwe-ini, Othaya and Nyeri towns.

Despite the emergence of interest in Wajackoya's citizenship where he is believed to be holding dual status against the dictates of the Kenyan constitution for presidential candidates, he is seemingly unbothered by the allegations which have been making headlines for a few days ago.

An interested party identified as Peter Gichira is the mastermind behind the querying of Wajackoya's citizenship where he has already written to the British High Commission seeking information of his alleged citizenship to the United Kingdom (UK).

Even as the citizenship debate takes shape, Wajackoya has already rubbished the allegations argued that the petition is ill-intended.

"I have never changed my citizenship. These people ought to read. They just have to access the internet and google instead of writing to the British High Commission." Wajackoya said on NTV.

The matter however remains complex and challenging since IEBC has already commenced the process of printing ballot papers.
